Mole-men get sleepy in early evening when they lay down in beds & watch movies together. Their heads nod, but they want to stay awake because they’ve never seen the ending to Murder on the Orient Express before & they heard it was so so good. They strain their eyes & their heads bob up & down across the vast cavern where they watch movies together at night. A whole sea of furry brown heads rising & falling, eyelids jerking open & drifting shut. Their pets have seen this one before. Their cats are bored. Their cats think Albert Finney is terrible in this one. The forest above the mole-men’s caverns is an endless bed of brown needles making the world smaller until it gets to the sky.
